OVERCOMING TRAGEDY

In 1997 a tragedy struck. Miles from Sacramento to Nevada city, all eyes could see the nightmare unfolding in the sky. In that moment business owner Dave Parmenter stood outside the business he poured life into, as the flames raged away. Many buildings, all inventory and the result of over a dozen jobs. Through community support and a miracle or two, even in the loss of 3 massive production, buildings this little company wouldn't quit. To this day he feels the sting of that loss but refuses to give up on his goals of serving our community with unique reclaimed lumber, mantles, slabs and hardwood flooring.

5 ACRE WOODLOVERS TOYSTORE

Many customers and contractors have shared that they love the experience of walking the vast 5 acre lumber yard. "It's like a nature walk, but you have the chance to take some of it home and create something beautiful with it" said one customer. Others like to relate the Wood Building of dried, pre-milled boards and slabs as their "version of a toystore". Whatever it is, your creative gears are sure to turn in excitement for your next wood based project.

PERSONALIZED APPROACH

We're no strangers to not only educating the community on urban milled and reclaimed lumber, but we also love helping people find the exact fit for their needs. It's not uncommon for a customer to come in with a unique freshly pried-up board from their floor and say "We'll, we had a little oops, and I bought this flooring 30 years ago but am not ready to part with it yet, can you match it?". More times than not, there a small selection in the corner warehouse of some mom&pop flooring manufacturer that has just enough left. We go to great lengths to call everyone we know to try to bring that customers nostalgic flooring whole again.
